MAMA IN THE WOODS
There lay still, the widespread forest
engulfing a wood hut, braided with wrinkles
There slept the little boy
as her mother kissed him
as the forest slept alongside
Hide and seek,
they used to play
the mother always trying
the boy seeking help from the trees
they whispered him spots
where her mother would never look
but she always won
hugging, they’d come back
leaving the forest amazed
how could she find him every time
the forest thought, it hurt it’s pride
One evening, when the winds had
hissed all day, the boy went far
as they asked him to
he went far, from all the troubles
as they promised
Scared was the mother
scared, that the boy
had found new realms
far from the innocence of boyhood
she called out, even pleaded to the trees
there wasn’t an answer,
she was asked to leave
But she waited
for the sun to rise
for the peek of the boy
for the warmth of his hug
she waited like a child
there wasn’t an answer
but she never left
smelled the dew of the east
felt the hollowness in her chest
but she never left
Now was the time,
she looked into their eyes
the silence had to break
all the fragrance had died
the forest was burning
flying were not whispers but ashes
she would burn down the earth
burn them all for her boy
such was the fire
such was the pride
such was her love
her love, burning now!
I AM GOD
They say I am everywhere
in every soul which burns,
till it soothes itself.
Till the wound is fresh as spring, and
they say I dictate everything they do,
while I open my eyes and nose
inhaling the vapour of the cosmos
condescending through sweat and water, healing the pure, the alchemy, the purest.
I know everything, they say they know
layers appear to me, thick and black
as constant as a kaleidoscope
I judge these by their roots
mushrooming till time
I understand their Nexus
they say they fear me
blood for blood they plead
they offer me trophies of flesh
they love me, like Sodom loved it’s men
they say I created this euphoria
of them protons, dancing to the tunes of my masochism
I feel the destruction, it is as pleasurable as the nights in the worm,
as the flowers soak dry.
I feel the destruction of souls,
I feel the darkness of desolation
they say I am invincible,
the destroyer of the earths.
SOLITUDE
One day when I was without the fear
Without the unknownness of solitude
I could walk across the boulevard
Head held high, encapsulated
By the streamlined way of life
Was it destiny, that our eyes met,
Our lips flowing deep into sync.
I had longed for this de- construction.
Never knew someone was paying attention
You came with the winter sunlight
Spreading across illusions,along
The brownian motion of endearment
The universe was smaller again
Mars to Mars, we flew.
Summer had brought the darkness
Cried the neon lights
As unlike as surrealism
” Who are you”, said you
“I am the unnecessary,
The silence of all emptiness”
” A reflection of rhetoric,the
Unsophisticated truth of fantasy”
“Sanity has prevailed”, said they
As burnt as our souls were,
The magma continues to flow,
Our wings still there.
Vacuum shall bring us back
Celebrating togetherness
Next when the universe shrinks,
Only to give us space
to spread our wings.
